Thriving Places
A deeper connection to our local community.
At Paddington Central, we’ve been working closely with the local community for a long time.
Our dedicated Social Impact Manager, based on campus, brings together Paddington Central’s businesses and local partners to mutually support, collaborate and change lives.
Paddington Central is a mixed-use campus where diversity, equity and inclusion can thrive. With a blend of dynamic workspaces, leisure activities, dining options and residents of all ages and backgrounds, the campus reflects the rich diversity of this part of London.
In addition to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, we’re creating positive social impact in three ways. One, by funding a diverse range of local projects through our Paddington Central Community Fund. Two, by providing employment training, work experience and job opportunities for locals through our Paddington Central Bright Light’s programme. And three, through our customer networks, where businesses based at the campus collaborate on new ways to create life-changing opportunities and drive social impact locally
Here are just some of the ways we’re supporting our local community and making a positive social impact, locally.
Paddington Central Community Fund
The Paddington Central Community Fund is a unique collaboration between businesses based on campus, created to scale our impact, recognising that we can all achieve more together.
It offers our customers the chance to connect with each other and local partners to make a real and long-lasting social impact.
Since 2022, the Fund has raised over £100,000, which has been allocated to organisations in the local area which focus on improving employment rates, social mobility, social inclusion and those effected by the cost of living.
Thank you to our recent funding partners: Visa, Finastra, Trend Micro, Vertex, CC Land.
If you are a customer and would like to make a pledge, contact our Social Impact Manager, Ndidi. Or contribute to round 3 of the Fund by donating below.
Bright Lights – Our employment training programme
Bright Lights is Paddington Central’s employment and training programme, which focuses on equipping residents of Westminster with everything they need for the world of work.
Working with our customers on campus, the programme delivers a broad range of skill building activities, including industry education sessions and CV writing workshops, to office insight days, work placements and we even help to match make local people with live vacancies on campus.
If you’re a Paddington Central customer and would like to inspire, support, recruit locally and create real social impact on your doorstep, get in touch to take part in the next programme.
Customer Network
Join forces with other like-minded individuals from across the campus to learn and collaborate on new ways to make a positive difference locally.
Is it your job, or simply your passion, to make a positive difference in society?
Come and join the Paddington Central Customer Network. We meet four times a year to think up new ways of joining forces to tackle everything from diversity, equality and inclusion to homelessness in the local area.
At Paddington Central, there’s much more to get involved in, including donation drives, education programmes and expert volunteering. If you’re interested in any of the initiatives above or would like to discuss another opportunity, please contact our Social Impact Manager Ndidi.
