Creating Inclusive Workspace
Last summer, British Land hosted a roundtable discussion with customers and expert leaders which explored topics around creating an inclusive workspace.
The purpose of the session was to create a dialogue around how businesses can understand shared challenges and the varied strategies we can implement to overcome these for a better future.
The following report summarises the discussion, focussing on adapting an existing culture, creating accessible and welcoming environments, and using design for a more inspired place to work.
The report supports the ‘Responsible Choices’ pillar of British Land’s sustainability strategy, advocating responsible business practices across British Land and throughout their supply chain.

Bright Lights
All the choices we make across the campus are responsible.
Responsible Choices
Responsible Choices is one of the three pillars of our Sustainability Strategy.
This is about making sure that every decision we make day-to-day, big or small – not just at Paddington Central, but across all British Land buildings and campuses – considers our long-term impact on the environment and society. From diversity, equality and inclusion to welfare and working conditions. And we support our customers, partners and suppliers to help them do the same.
Greener Spaces
We’re committed to decarbonising our campus, from buildings in development through to deconstruction, and we partner with customers to help them reach their targets.
Thriving Places
Our dedicated Social Impact Manager, based on campus, brings together Paddington Central’s businesses and local partners to mutually support, collaborate and change lives.
